Among Us was made by three guys, right? It was niche, it wasn't original, but it wasn't copied. It got big, and you'd see a surge of free steam store imitations, exact imitations, ones you'd point at, laugh at and think how shameless it was that they were trying to hijack its success, right? Hoping that one kid would type the wrong name.
Like, these are rip offs, right? Sure, they're less blatant about it, but some even try to do underwater base centers. Fortnite Impostors is as original as that. Except they have a bigger company behind them, more money. A company with a game that is literally almost connected to every other franchise, and instead of reaching out with what was a small indie dev company, they make their own, for a clear reason, that someone wants a yacht. And because they're a bigger company, they can afford to throw on more workers, to make the rip-off have extra fluff on top, its still a rip-off.
Its not the same as Terria being influenced by Minecraft, or Minecraft by Infiniminer, or H1Z1 Arma 3. There's no core differences other than different missions like order burger instead of fix wires. They didn't add any new concepts. They didn't change the setting And they got the player-base to dwarf Among Us. It'll hurt Among Us hard in the future considering most of the people who play Among Us are the same tweens that play Fortnite, and I'd wager people love Fortnite more.
I mean its about as original as a Roblox game of the same name (and its 3D!!!)
