Memes aside, I'll be honest and say I absolutely didn't expect the idea to work for as long as it has, even with the team behind it. Not because of any negative reason or because of anyone involved, but because of how difficult running this sort of thing is long-term.

Historically you do not see servers like this lasting more than a couple of weeks maximum, and even those that do aren't getting healthy playercounts every day.

So major props to everyone involved, and the players too.

It also helps you didn't have people excessively taking the piss tbh, or intentionally trying to ruin things the way you've seen before. When you get over that initial few weeks it becomes a lot easier and I'm glad for it.
