When you let it get into your head, the distinction between OOC and IC is destroyed. At that point it's no longer a game.

thing is i was told OOC about a sense of "rebels arent going to like you because of this" when aligning with the NG predominantly, if it really was all 100% IC then it'd be fine but it just sort of made me think there's an OOC element to it, knowing already that vorts werent really wanted for the faction

dw, you're not gonna be blocked from any avenues of roleplay, Lewis isn't anti-roleplay, he's just playing a grumpy Sarge who doesn't like Vorts - most of the Guardsmen like your Vort at the end of the day

Oh yeah like, don't get me wrong I fully understand how voicing being unhappy about something can be a big help - but that necessitates what you're complaining about being a genuine OOC problem

The guy's character just hates aliens, and he's RP'ing that - its not OOC

that part's what's keeping me happy with all of it, since i know it's a predominantly IC issue

theres just the sucky element of "this guy rapidly appears and gets promoted to sarge, then screws me out of that nice consistent RP i've been having" that it feels like happened. its a fault on mine since i havent really been on too much this last week (bg3 got me down) so I haven't had much chance to see @Lewis! character at all

more one where just seemed bit "this will happen to you" and didn't feel outright needed for it to be mentioned on that kind of level to me. like i get they won't be a big fan, but i'd rather that only come from that one guy who happened to baseline that entire thing to me IC than both him and an OOC mention about it beforehand

i mean i know im a bit paranoid and suspicious but seeing that OOC stuff, and then seeing (through genuine coincidence in fairness) someone IC repeat a very similar set of points as what was said, including the same thing of "you shot in and hurt/killed people" (which i know isn't true as although i shot in, i only shot in once and never hurt anyone), it just feels a bit pushy in a sense
