he's flipped on political standpoints a lot

for a while he claimed he was an independent

basically he referred to his party according to whichever candidate he personally aligned with, which is imo better than just blindly supporting your party no matter what

I've seen it before. Trump's political alignment changes more than Clinton supporters change their genders. I presume this video was made in his transition period. Also do bear in mind the video was made at the end of the Reagan period where about 75% identified as republicans.
