i think @deathwolf 's character created a wrist-mounted thing that could draw in vortessence from the air and shoot it out as well, but that was technological rather than biological

if the theory of the vortessence basically being the weave that ties all life together is true, then humans effectively have vortessence, it's just so latent that they can't access it i always imagined it's possible for a human to acquire active usage of it, it'd just take many years of...
