as the server stands with the rules, how equipment is obtained and the characters partaking ingame, it’s hard to do typical things except when* pertaining to factions - which is vague to say, but so are these tools mentioned. What tools?
Frankly yeah, its the same portion of the playerbase it literally always is. Anyone who's done more for the server (or that side of it even) who isn't an obnoxious dickhead says the exact same. But nah, can't possibly be that. Must be those fucking staff (and other players) blaming the innocent players again ://
If they just gave people GEAR everything would be right.... just ignore CW and Stasiland.....
The majority of RebelRP has no originality or any drive beyond getting gear. Anyone who's tried to lead it even as a player says the same, anyone who's provided events for them says the same, staff says the same. Can't all be wrong. When they become the majority the server suffers. It really isn't difficult. We've been here a thousand times.
@nnaM sitooP because literally nobody accepts it no matter how many people say it - players, staff, HS. C24 was a literal total overhaul and reform and when rebels didn't adapt, shit suffered. People act like its "blaming the playerbase" to admit that the mentality on that side of the fence is scuffed to fuck and so the blame gets pushed around and nobody actually steps in to change it.
WW3s fault was trying to embrace a standard of roleplay and giving equipment shortages to S2K hungry children, it was an attempt of a SeRiOuS server with the wrong crowd that made it unfun, some arma 3 antistasi
CW was flawed, but I’m not gonna sit here and dog on it as being arguably more entertaining in many aspects,
Helix neb is fine just flawed on how it carries itself on events and people thinking they’re saving the server by doing an event that caters to few or a plot line that dries up in a week after the events over
frankly, the reason why there's a lack of originality is because everything requires authorizations. the reason why gear and scripts have always been so valued is because any and all interaction with them requires zero administration assistance.
that's the biggest reason why I've always enjoyed trading items - you can do it all yourself. make authorizations more streamlined and I guarantee you'll see an increase in originality
people love to mention requiring auths without having any idea what they're talking about. it's crazy how often people try to ask for an auth for something they're told repeatedly they don't need to
People became far too dependent on events and lost the ability to make their own roleplay because suddenly they either didn't feel confident telling their own stories or didn't want to for fear they missed out on "the next big thing". Neb's a very sharp contrast to a lot of communities in that people were allowed to spin entire narratives 100% in events.
uh, having helped lead multiple smaller groups I can attest that I know what I'm talking about when it comes to authorization. I have tried to do many player-led events in the past and the sole reason why practically none of them came to fruition is because they were all lost in the headstaff's inbox sitting unread seemingly forgotten about
