If you want easy to cook food, here's a cool trick.

Own a pot. A nice big pot. Preferably a saucepot, but a little bigger. Buy yourself canned tomatoes, some veg of choice (I like to use carrots, onions, bell peppers, and chopped potatoes), and a meat of choice (good ones are mince or canned fish like sardines if you like them).

Toss in the meat first (unless you're using canned fish), leave that for like 5-10 mins to properly cook on the hob, then toss in the veg. Leave the veg to cook for a little bit, then add the tomatoes (then add the canned fish and stir it in, it'll practically dissolve into the tomatoes and give you this lovely rich flavour). If you're adding potatoes, put the potatoes in after the tomatoes.

Then stir that for a bit and leave it alone for an hour or so on the hob, at a medium/medium-low temperature. Add any herbs/spices of choice if you like, gives a nicer flavour but isn't essential. And voila, you have a pot of cooked stuff that's healthy, delicious, and literally only requires a pot, a knife, and something to stir with (bonus if you can also use it to distribute, like a ladle or spoon)

If you own tupperware, you can make a whole pot's worth and then distribute it into said tupperware and make bulk meals for several days ahead. Several meals for the time it takes to make one, all they need is a microwaving/heating back up in a pot (I microwave mine for around 6 minutes on a 700W microwave, yours may vary)

@Warwick If you don't mind a cooked dessert, go for fritters. You can do fritters in multiple ways, and make them out of multiple things (naturally you have the savoury with meat, but you can go dessert with fruits).

A quick and easy one is banana fritters. First, make effectively a pancake batter but be sure to add some sugar too. Then, get a banana and cut it long ways into strips (you can do it into slices, but long way gives you bigger fritters). Dip the banana into the batter to ensure it's fully covered, but not too thick.

Put that on an oiled pan for a little bit at a medium/medium-high temperature (not too high or else you'll burn them). Turn occasionally for 5-10 minutes, like you could a sausage for example, and then serve. You can add things on them to finish, like powdered sugar, honey, etc.
