Okay so I look at this like an either/or sort of thing.
A) Bike lock item to let me lock up my rental or owned bikes, forcing the use of a lockpick or bolt cutters to steal.
B) Let us use the vehicle lock function on rental/owned bikes, again, forcing the use of a lockpick or bolt cutters to steal.
I wouldn't want this to apply to bikes that are not legally yours, aka none of the bikes you'll find openly in the city. Just owned/rented bicycles. Make people who want to steal my bike go through just a little bit of effort and gives me a chance to respond if i catch them instead of just hopping on and zooming off.
