Serious Black Screen After Selecting Character

I load into hl2rp as normally, but when I pick my character I’m met with a black screen, still being able to see and move my cursor. My GMod hasn’t crashed as I can still open the steam overlay. I have restarted the game several times aswell as restarting my computer many times.
My GMod is updated to the latest version and I am not in any test branches, though I have tried loading in on the chromium branch with no luck. Its not the computer since I have loaded into HL2RP before on this same computer.

for me it goes black for like 3 seconds and then i see normally
