Honest question: Compared to mordhau, would it be worth 20-30 euro?
mordhau for 1v1's or 3v3's. high skill cieling that caps; once you're actually really good you can't improve any more and it gets real boring, but the people that still play are generally very good and starting out is just dying over and over and over until you eventually dont, its not very approachable anymore.
chiv 2 for casual fun and big satisfying battles. low skill cieling in general means you won't get dicked on by someone with 915138581 more hours

Pretty sure 99% of the exploits from Chiv 1 were never fixed for the sequel, so tryhard vets can still do utter ballerina movements - I expect this to bite the devs in the ass when the community tries to form up. Mordhau tried to fix this with turncaps, but it also has its share of weird movement that's pretty exploitative.

Tbf there's only so much you can do to limit this sort of thing without negatively effecting the gameplay. Its annoying but I dont think it's really that big of a detriment to the game as it's made out to be, Its easy enough to learn how to counter them and after a while you might even like the extra challenge. Also i think what many people consider exploitive is just people that are good at the game.

Caved and bought it, dont regret it. While Mordhau is as is said more competitive compared to chiv 2, I like Chiv 2 more for the large medieval combat feel.

Mordhau still is fun for picking 1/1/1 Crossbow, Axe & beartrap with huntsman perk and running around trolling people (in particular archers)
