HEYYYYYYYYYYYYY, IT'S MEEEEEEE

I am proposing a twofer.

First and foremost relates to chop shop. Chop shop should have different chopping locations away from the check-in location. Why? Well, that bring me to my next suggestion.

Prohibit, either by rule or SOP, the deliberate camping of T0 crime locations. This rule/SOP would not apply to an incidental presence, like an ongoing gunfight or some other crime that would require them to be sitting there as there's no other option. Police have been sitting at the chop shop location just waiting for people to roll in there instead of pursuing stolen vehicle calls and personally I don't think that should be happening. The location doesn't move, it's a stationary location, it's kind of lazy, and lame, for cops to just be sitting there waiting for people to check in and come back with a car. It's really weird to get a stolen vehicle call and just sit outside the chop spot because you some how know that it's probably going to be brought there to be broken down.

With different chopping locations scattered throughout the city it will make it more difficult to camp a chop location. With the implementation of a new rule or SOP, it will also serve to prevent the deliberate camping of those locations. Additionally, it might serve as an additional benefit to slow down the farming of chop shop if you're still forced to go back to the main chop shop building to check back in.

I mean you're also one of the people circling one of the two chop spots in the chop yard. I think if Alex is AFK and you're eating you probably shouldn't be sitting right outside the check in spot of a t0 crime, it's very weird. Any other spot could have been chosen and it was the...chop shop?

just dont get caught

edit;
I say that because we wouldn't have actually done anything. when alex and I patrol we usually just drive the same map loop doing nothing because he's in his head more than he's in-game

so why not go loop around burger shot, or any other spot in sandy instead of the literal sign in and activity point of a t0 crime. you know what you're doing, c'mon man.

voice ID is bad but casually sitting at and checking the chop spot like it's some routine is acceptable?

people shouldn't have to trust your ooc word that you're not going to do anything, patrolling it is just flat out weird.

if you were actively chasing someone in there, that's obviously a whole separate matter. but this is actually just straight up patrolling it and you know it lol.

Tone it down, if you have actual accusations to make it goes into a player report.

I mean, I was trying to avoid mentioning anyone specific until he volunteered that he was someone that was doing it. As soon as you mentioned to F5 whoever is doing that behavior I was going to just take it to your DMs, until, y'know, he volunteered it was him doing it. Kinda went from an accusation to a self-report.

I would've preferred to just y'know, continue talking about the validity of adding an expressly defined rule prohibiting this so people know they shouldn't be doing it.

I mean you'd have a case only if he actually arrested you or acted on that but just being in the scrapyard or even them seeing you chop a car isn't grounds for them to actually do anything, plus seeing a cop there reminds you to stay on your toes and it's a bit of fun

it's not a crime to take apart a car, nor would we have any reason to stop someone for taking apart a car at a location that looks like it's clearly meant for people to take apart cars. it's just force of habit since I play rusty 90% of the time, its the same chop, burgershot, pillbox, ping cage loop

it's not like police have NEVER responded to crime at the chop shop grounds anyways, at least once a day there's an alert at the junkyard there with a big incident every couple of days. I'd understand if cops were patrolling some other locations that will not be named, but people aren't exactly subtle with the chop shop. I think its a little more weird being upset over even seeing a cop within the vicinity in that regard

I have a strong feeling that if someone was there doing something that it would be an entirely different story than what can only be said now because no one was seen there doing their thing.

Cops shouldn't be just be casually patrolling and sitting outside that place, or any other known t0 crime check/turn in spot.

the only instance I’ve seen of police even entering the chop shop was yesterday, where i was chased in there by the police while in the car I was trying to chop

Alright since this thread is going nowhere fast, I'm going to lock this with some closing words:

Yes, rainbow shouldn't have pulled into the exact chop shop location on a cop. I'm not going to assume the worst since he didn't camp the place - it was probably just something he ended up doing idly while waiting for his partner to un-afk. I'd like to think cops know that they shouldn't be sticking around common crime locations. I obviously can't tell if rainbow was going to actually act on anything he found there, but in this instance it hasn't caused any actual problems.
