Ground Control

Three years before the Uprising , a group of scavengers enter the Quarantine Zone for the purpose of investigating a rumor about Combine Tech being delivered en masse, so much of it that pieces could vanish without being missed.
Of course, with the Combine, things never go so simple.
Very quickly these scavengers realise something's off. They come across the ruins of a firefight, supplies, and things that shouldn't be there.
It's not long before the Combine is alerted to their presence. They have since been moving deeper into the QZ, away from the fire teams that tail them on their expedition into the derelict blocks of City 17.
Things will only get more difficult.
Things will only become more unknown.

Remember- you might not find a way inside the QZ. It's sealed tight, and only luck, ingenuity, or patience will find your path inside.

Spoiler: Sample Occupations

Occupation Ideas. Choose from these or get creative!
Civil Protection Conscript/Former Civil Protection Officer - worked with Civil Protection in some capacity, be it cargo handling or a proper beatcop, before leaving the force.
Shipping Worker - moved supplies via vehicle around the city, CWU worker but with shipping
Engineer Corps - Worked as a technical handyman as well as electrician to some degree, experienced with electrical, mechanical, and Strider maintenance.
Infestation Control - conscripted/volunteered for the dangerous job of Infestation Control. Served for three months before being discharged(IE on leave, can return back). Experienced with Infestation Control equipment and the threats of the Quarantine Zone.
CWU worker - everyday worker, simple labor, warehouse worker, factory worker, etc
Store owner - Owned a business license and a store, either for food or whatever else
Venue/Club owner - During the lax years of the occupation, ran a club/venue,bar with music.
Baker - Made bread

Aside from the occasional Citizen who managed to sneak inside- the Quarantine Zone is filled with Combine, Xenian Fauna, Zombies, and the like.
If you're one of these- try to recall who you used to be(or what human language defines you as).
A DM requesting information about Event Characters is best. Ideas are welcome.
Event Characters are unable to be played if you have an active QZ character.

This event series already has three people playing characters in it. However, I am open to accepting new people for separate or converging events in this series.
Remember- if you apply you may not be accepted. The larger the group, the harder an event is to handle.
Event Character players will be mostly playing Combine- though I will do my best to give you as much of an experience as possible as well, and variation in the characters you play.
