Suggestion: Can the

be disabled for characters in Civil Protection or maybe Rank Leaders? I got PK'd today and I realize now that I handed out about 75% of the guns in the force trying to pick any gun up will be a nightmare. I had the same issue ~4 years ago playing on a vortigaunt
If it's big problem code-wise I could coerce somebody into allowing me to keep the same "frame" of a character, that's okay too
legit the first gun I tried to pick up immediately triggered it

Simman has been permanently restricted from holding firearms. If only we did this years ago.

Try getting another RL to resell the guns to the vendors and re-issue them so that it resets item ID, although this is a temporary solution

do you have any idea how many guns we'd have to go through?
if it's impossible to solve codewise I'd legit rather just reuse the old char, just give up all scripts/change model etc.
I made a suggestion cause it could be an issue for others too later on
