I hate reskin addons but they make it some how in my subscription list so please help

I was IC and then we see that everybody sees my jacket green, just not me. But why is that like that? Well, I have no clue but its black and not green.

So yeah, I am karl-police I could basically fix the issue in some minutes but I sleep too so like, I am sure somebody here, had this issue too.

I'd recommend just like, getting rid of all your addons and subscribing to just the nebulous content, fixes it always

UNLESS you have a non-steam workshop addon overwriting the skin. If you got that, delete it from addons or whatever folder you threw it in, perhaps models...

I know how this works. Delete your garrysmod folder, uninstall from steam, reinstall, keep on nebulous addons or addons that clearly aren't over-riding anything, and it will be fixed.

Again, install only nebulous add-ons, uninstall the rest. If that doesn't fix it, you have a non-workshop add-on in your models, or your add-ons folder, or perhaps both if you were so careless as to put it in there twice. In this case, you delete that file specifically or if you can't find it, the entire Garry's Mod folder and then uninstall from steam then reinstall.

If I do this I have to restart my computer over 10 times. IOs Failure is the reason for that.

It doesn't make sense for me. When I go to steam and click, Delete downloadcache it gets fixed, but you may have to repeat this step often if idk. It just doesn't make sense and its only GMOD so its definitely not my disk or anything like that.

The most addons I unsubscribe and resubscribe will make the IO failure.

Instead of uninstalling all of your addons - because apparently you need all 500 of them - you can also go ahead and deactivate every addon by pressing one button. Afterwards, simply reactivate those needed for the server, and see if it's fixed. It is not guaranteed to work, but what do you really expect from us when you have 500 addons activated all at the time and are refusing to actually uninstall them or check it out yourself.

Oh, and also, "but they make it somehow in my subscription list" - perhaps it would be a better idea to actually check what you are installing and not just go by the goal to reach 500 addons as soon as possible, without even knowing if they conflict.

Also, because you mentioned "IO failure", if even Garry's Mod cannot handle your amount of addons anymore, I would seriously recommend you to unsubscribe everything with the usage of Steam (outside of Garry's Mod) and reinstall your game with zero addons.

There are two addons, I've searched for that one adding this ugly residet texture that should get changed.

Both conflict each other, which causes me having the wrong material. And, I saw an administrator using the a model of the essentials one, perhaps you want to remove that addon too?


So, if you have the same problem like me, uninstall the essentials one, because this essential one is not on the workshop addon. Who knows if this changes in the future? @Blackquill? Because that texture from cider two doesn't really fit to the other uniforms and if you add the workshop you may want to hex it and put it inside a new directory.


@Nicrobe and me has the essentials addon installed, its 100% that addon and I am gonna unsubscribe it now. I've saved more time than @Votra's idea too.
