Suggestion: Limit the amount of rockets an APC has.

Why it would be worth adding: I don't know, perhaps for realism - perhaps for fairness. Or fun! I've been part of a raid just now, was very fun and engaging, they had us good - then the APC plopped up and just spent the entire american arsenal. Well, I don't know, but I kinda lost all my fear or risk that I felt before - that I was in danger, in a real firefight. It felt like a very cheap win. And I know we rebel boys have it hard to get one single rocket, and even if we do, it is highly restricted. And we roll up with one APC and blow them all to kingdom come : )

Difficult to enforce but unrewarding to see them spammed in response
some would argue the APC needs more firepower from the main gun, but I'd argue it's not fun having a block get hammered over-and-over so that entrances and exits can be blocked by debris
i think it should be infinite but once it's used for the purpose of closing a doorway it should be limited, maybe 3-4 times per deployment or just overall limited by enforcement

you dont see in half life 2 campaign any apc rocket limits
they spam it like mad, they dont care you're a scientist looking for his dad, and is forced to kill in self defense

It is not. You need only tell someone "you get x amount of shots, do not use more then x amount of shots".

yeah im joking

but the point is, that there is a thing about the combine still being a threat on the ''external'' level, the oppresor is on the surface, the gurrilas are in the tunnels, type of logic. The surface is the loud, the tunnels is the unpredictable and tight.
combine controls the exterior well,
they have their artillery, APCs that is horizon control, and such, sometimes even snipers.

rebels EXCEL at cqc and range combat, just not in large open spaces.
so it's kinda give and take,
combine being still sometimes a heavy outside tight spaces, threat like an APC, is good

IT NEEDS A COUNTER THO, rebels need a tool against APCs, so APC drivers would have a bit of a tight gut when driving.
that's what needs to happen perhaps
new suggestion: rebels get an RPG being more common, yet a rule is in place, you cannot use it on anything but APCs.
add IEDs as well, and it's set and fair for both sides :)

honestly hopper mines should do damage to apcs, idk why they dont

you have the perfect counter that the combine produce themselves to counter vehicles yet iirc hopper mines dont do shit to apcs

if we did limit rockets id have to up the machine gun damage significantly so that it's of some value (even though its very hard to aim)

I‘m pretty sure it does take damage from bullets and vorts but it’s really REALLY minuscule

It takes exactly 1 rpg rocket (3k damage) and 6 vort beams to destroy an APC

it also takes damage from spitters (a lot), so umm… bug bait auth??
