What is this?
This is the introductory and largely standalone opening mission to an upcoming event series which seeks to explore the conflicts of our HL2RP setting through small-scale encounters, primarily based around interesting event characters, player character story progression and engaging S2RP but with space for both sides to cooperate and find peaceful solutions if they so desire.
The event series will span multiple narratives with the aim of 3 to 4 missions per storyline. Our introductory event is not part of the current narrative but serves as a way for us to make sure that the dynamic of both sides can run smoothly.
Character Deaths
As we seek to provide a space for players to have an entertaining experience, death is not an automatic PK, instead, we are operating on a system of "narrative satisfaction".
It is inevitable that some characters will die during combat encounters and they will be subject to standard NLR, however, if there is a majority agreement from the players that a character's death would overall be satisfying to the narrative, for example, they died saving another character, they did something heroic before death or something immensely stupid, PKs will be enforced.
Rewards
These are NOT script-focused events. Rebels are free to request the ammo, medical supplies, etc which they may need for the mission, but don't come into this expecting caches of loot, the fun of the roleplay is the reward for taking part.
Whos playing?
Combine players have been preselected on roleplay merit, there are no PK mongers or Copcord voice chatters here, we want to roleplay. The events are open to rebel players subject to review. Applying to take part in this event does not automatically secure you a slot in all upcoming narratives but we do want to get the same characters involved repeatedly so In-character rivalries/relationships can form.

There are four slots available, once everybody has been selected, I will put both sides into a group DM where we will agree on a date and time that suits our schedules and then we get stuck into the fun.
