they asked the original RE4 lead shinji makami to direct but he refused, though he's going to be given some indirect oversight over the project

also apparently its being led by ex platinum games director mikami minami

I hope it ends up being true. For all my feelings are mixed on RE4 as a whole, it was one of the first RE games I played myself a home. It'd be cool to see it remade.

I don't agree with this one being remade. The Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3 warrant remakes, but this one is still a solid game on its own and doesn't need a remake.

Might as well make a Resident Evil game with Alice or something.

Hot take: The first two movies were a lot of fun and surprisingly well done for the time.
