I'm fairly sure Alex and BQ have both said that even if Gmod 2 eventually gets off the ground, Neb won't be going there. When the community eventually does go under, it'll be the last venture for either of them.

Eventually you gotta know when to pull the trigger I suppose.

Pretty sure if nebulous passes into the shadow realm, someone out there will revive it. I always considered nebulous and LP to be the pioneers of HL2 roleplay, though that doesn't mean there isn't other talented and creative people out there waiting for an opportunity to kick off something similiar on a (probably) better engine.
