is anyone else very interested in astronomy? im really fascinated by most of what the universe has to offer, like planets, black holes and pulsars. its interesting and eerie at the same time

pulsars sounds creep me out, especially 3 onwards in this video

i just love learning about everything in the universe its interesting

When you actually sit there and think about the gravitational force of a black hole it gets mind-numbingly ridiculous.

I've always liked watching videos surrounding random astronomical topics, but I doubt I'd ever bother going into extremely extensive research. I think my fascination just stems from how utterly mind boggling everything is in the universe, moreso when you consider it was created entirely by natural process.

Whenever you consider something as 'fast' on Earth, you look at landspeed cars, jets or even the speeds our space stations are travelling at...then you realize a star was once shot across space by the gravitational pull of a black hole, and it travels at 1200 kilometers per second. That's 4,300,000kph. Even then, Quasar matter is travelling at 200x that.

The concepts we perceive are nothing in comparison to what the universe can produce; size, speed, natural, unnatural, quantity, distance - our perception of it all is microscopic in comparison.
