Bucharest is no stranger to Xenian incursions, however malicious they may be. There is, though, a degree of concern for alien activity beyond the mere - yet concerning in its own right - propagation of xenotheric growths festering the streets. In the settlements dotting the furthest fringes of this newly reborn society, a certain pest has made itself far too comfortable with the results of its incessant hunting. Cattle and farmhands alike have been meticulously hunted down by Panthereyes, far from the bustling sounds of the city itself.
This is beginning to change. Certain populations of this elusive beast have become too comfortable with delving into the heart of civilization. Agora has seen its share of sightings within the doorstep of its many buildings, and many-a mercenary protecting the border walls of Bucharest claimed to have seen these creatures lurking in the cliffs above. Observing. Studying. Adapting. What happens when a wild animal becomes too comfortable living close to humans? Tragedy. What if it is a biomechanical predator? Something much worse.
The rooftops aren't safe anymore. They are being claimed by these agile beasts to create colonies of nesting grounds far from the actual ground floor. Night by night, the alleyways between congregations of buildings are becoming death traps for wayward drunkards and dealers of discreet goods. The rooftops aren't safe anymore. So far, little has been done by the burdened state - in no small part due to the burgeoning infestation along the streets. With so much going on, it is difficult to prioritize certain tasks. The rooftops aren't safe anymore.
It does not help that there are rumors of these organic blenders being tolerated due to playing their part in indirectly maintaining curfew. Or the chance that a nest may or may not be forming above the city hall - deterring any attempts at rooftop espionage. Pray that the ventilation systems on top of the building remain functional... or that the beasts don't start barging into the building itself.
