this is another one of those massive ballache games [dwarf fortress, CDDA] that are really hard to learn but rewarding at the same time. big reccomend, and you can get it free from the devs website even though it costs a tenner on steam hm

my first attempt ended up with me not being able to find a river for water, so i attempted to kill a child to take his familys shelter. i hit him with an axe once but he kicked in the shin, putting me down, and then kept booting me in the head until i was unconscious. i got left in the wilderness with my axe stolen, and died of dehydration
