I did the same, WoD bored me to fucking death. However I came back for Legion and basically played Non-Stop through all the content, it had some issues but for the most part Legion was the best expansion since WotLK. Battle for Azeroth is shaping up nicely and in its current state I find the game extremely enjoyable.

TL;DR

Yes, I would recommend playing it.
