I've had a similar thing, like two years ago, I was quite depressed and only had fake friends, payed them daily by buying them shit, candy, other stuff, whatever. It felt good and bad at the same time, because I knew they'd leave me eventually. They didn't tho and got used to me not buying them shit later.

You're a really cool dude, we've had our wee conversations on TS and I would never have guessed for a second that you're depressed, I guess that just goes to show that you can't judge a book by its cover.

Quite frankly I think it's despicable and disgusting that people are abusing a genuinely nice act which you give to members of the community since you're a swell guy. Honestly words can't describe how sick that makes me feel.

Lynx, you a good duder man. Although we haven't really talked you do seem to be one of the nicer people around in this community, and I'm not saying that because you buy people things. You approach everyone with a friendly attitude and that's what I and most of this community like about you. I'm about to repeat what everyone else said in this thread, there is no need to buy people games in order to make them feel happy.

I'm pretty sure that just having you around in this community will make people happier.

I'll be honest, I've brought this on myself. I've even exhibited this reckless spending since I was about 14, looking back I haven't really been able to properly socialise for a long time. I've bought people's friendship both online and IRL since then and doing so made me unable to make friends in any other way, I'll be honest. It's really my own fault for not socialising properly enough, but it's what I know how to do and that's really kind of messed it up.

Part of what you have been doing is socialising. As of now i consider you a friend anyway so even if you didn't buy me that pizza i still consider you a cool guy. You do your admin job extremely well, hence you having SA in a shorter time than i ever achieved it.

If you want to talk just hit me up, or i'll do it to you. People would do well to follow the model of you and others like @Daraku @Rondal and @Sir Goatson

Well, OK, ill throw in my two cents here:

I don't know you much @Lynx , virtually not at all but let me say this. The world does not revolve around money, objects, any of that. It revolves around love and consideration for others, or at least that whats i believe. No amount of anything can buy someones true feelings or love. And I think holds true here.

People here care about you and reading thought these posts, its genuine. Its not just the "im sorry" or "i love you man" stuff. People here genuinely love you and dont want to see you leave. I know what it is like to lose a friend, a good friend. I wouldn't want to loose someone else.

If you ever want to talk, even though we don't know each other, ill be here. I will listen, just ask. Im always around.
