They violate the non-aggression pact by breaking into our homes
Response should be determined by the homeowner, not the crook imo
That’s the thing, there is no gun in the first place on either sideSo the issue with this is that force escalates. If someone has a gun, and they enter your house with the intention to rob you, having a knife or a gun will escalate the situation to where the person would have to meet your deadly force (real or not) with his deadly force. A toy gun is escalating it without the ability to use the force you're presenting.

But what does it matter in the scenario that I set up? Surely violence is already escalated if someone is out to murder me and nothing else?It doesn't have to be a gun, it can be anything. Having a weapon escalates the situation. I don't want to be in a life or death situation with a knife.

You can own stuff like katanas or tantos as well as other sorts of knives so long as they remain in your home
You can also use them as weapons in self defence so long as you do it at home
In the streets you can carry a blade as long as 11 cm so long as you have it hidden and not just in plain view
At least that's how it is in Spain, legally
thats funny imagine meeting a criminal wearing a robe and a katana lol. the weeb in me wants to do that.
i open carry with the holster i posted on my hip. in my car i keep it unholstered in the cup holder or if i'm alone, on the passenger seat. your car is your property by law, like your house, so you can openly brandish it. but you cannot conceal it on your person without a license in nevada, so im working on that.
A katana is silly in a flat, because there's simply no space to brandish it, my katana for instance is for decoration only.
My M9 Bayonet though, that's a different story.
Where'd you get your katana? I wouldn't mind a display one.
There's a guy here in Spain that goes from con to con making custom katanas/swords from games, manga, anime, etc
All sorts, from the NieR ones to Conan swords and famous anime katanas, pretty fucking dope
That's awesome. I was considering 3D printing replica weapons and then using cheap metal to fill in the parts that need to be made.
Never understood why Americans love guns so much.
Are they cool? Yeah
most Americans will have no real idea how to handle a life or death situation and will more likely cause more harm then good
Gun culture runs pretty deep. A lot of Americans are raised around guns.
What are you basing your opinion off of? I think you'd be surprised. Most CCW holders, I'd imagine, have had classes in such a thing.
they some hairy ass arms my guyThese are made of carbon fiber and good quality stainless steel, as well as wood and other materials for those that need it. They're absolute pieces of art, awesome as fuck.
For the weebs, yes, it's Renji Abarai's katana

It's not that the bayonet itself is small, but my hands as you can guess by looking at my arm are extremely big, basically a TF2 character
