Hooo mama this one is fucking interesting.

If there’s anyone here who’s been around the tactical FPS games like Squad and Insurgency. Likely you’ve heard of a content creator known as BlueDrake42. And know he’s got his own gaming company that goes by the name Drakeling Labs.

And as of about almost a year ago. He announced his own free to play, tactical FPS in development. And as a few days ago I noticed on YouTube that he posted an update saying that the game. Operation: Harsh Doorstop, was going to be open for public testing starting March 1st.

But what is Operation: Harsh Doorstop you fucking dumb fucking cretin Clokr? Well If you’re a old WW3RP fag like myself, this is gonna be fuckin neat. Because the setting is as follows from the steam page.

“Deploy to eastern Afghanistan into a fictionalized conflict between Soviet and NATO forces during the summer of 1991. Participate in Operation: Harsh Doorstop, an aggressive NATO campaign directed to halt Soviet expansion into the middle-east.”

Not only that but they plan to continue to add additional operations post release. Such as the Gulf War, WW2, and other fictional conflicts (All set in past, present, and future)

idk to me this just looks like squad but worse
Well the teaser is from like 8 months ago and they are working pretty well on it. They’ve got a website here and the only other vid I’ve seen that’s recent is from four weeks ago and it looks pretty neato

I like bluedrake and what hes trying to do for the industry and community but I feel like he's a little overambitious. A small indie team working on two projects with their only funding coming from donations? I'm a little worried it's not gonna be able to get itself to a stage where it can stand on its own two feet beside established games like squad. That being said though if they build a good game and manage to go through with expanding the content into other time periods and other conflicts it will definitely give a reason to play this game over other milsim titles. One of the great things about project reality was the insane amount of variety. You had maps and factions for every kind of modern era conflict imaginable, all with their own unique models and weapons and vehicles.
