Bug Vortigaunt Acts are Broken but only for me

Description: vortigaunt acts pretty much completely busted (but apparently only for myself)
Steps to reproduce: I HAVE NO IDEA
Additional notes:

Exhibit a: /ActSurgery

I have no idea why this is happening, but every single animation I try to perform on my vortigaunt just don't work, flat out. Nothing I've tried so far, short of uninstalling and reinstalling the game, has worked. I unubscribed from ALL the content, and reinstalled it, and then even checked through my files. When editing the icon to look at the animations, none of the vortigaunt models seem to have the surgery/alyx healing animations or kneeling animations at all. Considering nobody else has commented on it and I've seen other people have been seeing the animations fine, I can only imagine it's a problem on my end, but I don't know what it could be at this point.

This is less of a bug report and more of a plea for help. I want to use the cool vortigaunt animations sometimes.

This happened to me way back during Joseon. I fixed it by uninstalling, reinstalling then verifying my files. That fixed it somehow.

I had the same issue but for my rebel char, everybody else's anims worked fine but mine clientside, I'd do /actinjured and would just A pose. I sorted mine by unsubscribing from every addon I had in gmod and only subscribing to the content pack which fixed it for me.

Idk if that's what you meant by unsubscribing from all the content, was that just the Neb content or all addons?

I cleared out every single addon and installed only the neb content, yeah. It still didn't work, unfortunately.

Hmmm, bit of a headscratcher then tbh, looks like you've tried the usual troubleshooting stuff, just spitballing another idea here which you've probs tried but have you checked your mounted games? Idk if we take any vort anims from the hl2 eps

i assume the animations are surgery_operate and surgery_sustain for the surgery ones in particular, and neither of those show up for me in-game. i don't know what the fuck is going on here, honestly, considering i have EP2 mounted

that's funky, given you unsubscribed from your addons and such they might still exist on your disk (which you can remove through gmod thankfully and might fix the issue? Just spitballing again I'm really not sure)

When you load up GMod do you have anything present in the 'Problems' screen?
