it's time.

Suggestion: language flags, but now with added radio flavour

Why it would be worth adding: shouting in spanish over the radio about how you spilled your drink

Necessary content:
coding, water, minimal food

Can take a look if I can just rip it from the ww3rp system I made, something that should've been around a long time ago

Have ported it over / modernised the implementation, but looks strange? Not sure how else to put it.

not sure if the formatting is weird or I'm just being weird

No.
Gary's example keeps it consistent and readable with how radio messages are formatted by default, and makes it less of a mess when you have multiple radios with different frequencies active.

Would rather have it say "Gary radios on 100.0 in German"

Instead of "Gary radios on 100.0 something in German"

And then it displays the message as normal if you have the language flag

I think its because you're seeing your own message twice - if you have the flags you shouldn't see the 2nd one.

Also because "Gary radios on 100.0 something in german" isn't gramatically correct afiak. I think people should see it as "Gary radios on 1.00 in German" full stop?

Ah nah that's just me sending one with and without recognition, they're two different messages

Show more pictures of both styles suggested, on multiple frequencies
more examples of how each would look would help come to an agreement
I agree with oxvy but I can't really say I'm certain without more pics
