Suggestion Glock iron sights

These are currently the glock iron sights, and as u can tell it's a little jarring to actually use them
It's really quick to get used to where they sort of line up, though. I'm aiming at the center cross of the windows.

I mentioned this offhandedly in a different thread but I figure I may as well just post it given I see it any time my gun's out, and bring it to the team's attention

I'm not completely sure if there's a way to fix it by just lifting the gun up a little bit or something at the front. If not, I'll throw a couple idea replacements in links below.

These are all smaller in file size compared to the current model we use which i believe, if i've found the right one, is about 50 MB while these range from about 1-5 MB

I'm not sure if the sights on these are any better, though. Perhaps the LSPD are like stormtroopers and I must simply git gud

server cant use anything with IRL brand badges/logos either, so keep that in mind. only passable one would be the last addon

i see that these may be pistol replacements, while our current one is, i believe, a combat pistol replacement. ill throw this other one i found that looks good here but im not sure if it's possible to have it replace the correct gun instead. Anyways

as i said im a sucker for vanilla branding so the vom feuer options look pretty cool. Not to mention we may want to swap away from real world brands like Rusty Ratchet Attorney at Law said

if these were used id just rename it to Service Pistol unless someone can come up with a funny sounding word similar to Glock..

Imo the best way to prevent that: make a purchasable "iron sight" mod from ammunation, applying it to your pistol and making that give you an ingame white dot crosshair

We'll look into the iron-sight/model problem at somepoint soon, once Jamie and I have a bit of free time to do so.

We don't actually replace base weapons or props in general, Jamie and I aim to always make custom variants that don't effect the base GTA content in any fashion.

So the glock is it's own actual weapon that doesn't override the combat pistol in anyway, although it just uses the audio from it... Since adding custom weapon audio is something that nobody from the looks of it knows how to do (at the moment).

Although, we can take a replacement and turn it into a custom variant, which ain't so bad now that we know how to do it.

I know that on YT you can search for "fivem soundpacks guns" and you override some files in your citizen folder, make of that what you will. I don't know how things are handled serverside and if you can force download those things like you can in gmod

I meant more adding actual custom audio for new weapons; Not overriding base GTA ones. ;p

For civvie pistols you don't even get iron sights like this

it's pretty bad ngl. Luckily years of playing FPS games means I know roughly where the centre of my screen is but even so
