Mic disconnecting and connecting when I turn it on

Basically, when I plug my mic into my computer and turn it on, it disconnects and connects until I turn it off. It does sometimes work, though. I've been having this problem ever since I got it and I wonder if anyone has any idea to fix this.

Either the cable's fucked up or something wrong with the computer. That's all I can say.

There might be a problem with the mic jack. If you are using the mic jack on the front, try the one at the behind or vice-versa. If it fixes it, the problem is the mic jack. If it doesn't work at the other mic jack too, there might be something wrong with your mic.

I've tried the one behind the back (The pink one) and it doesn't work. When I plug it in nothing happens.

Then, it's probably the mic, sorry I can't do anything if it's the mic. Did you download it's drivers? Is it a cheap mic?
