Graphics, texture, gameplay, the blood/gore rate, some zeds are less annoying now than they used to be.Holy shit. How many creeps did you have to kill to make that much blood? I used to play the fuck out of KF, KF 2 looks damn awesome, I'll have to get it.. what would you say are major differences between the first and second game?
More gore, better melee mechanics, less swearing, less overall content atm- animations are a bit wonky in general.played original killing floor, it was really fun, but this feels very different than killing floor 1
although i feel like they mastered the game in killing floor 2, it doesnt feel like they really added anything through bothMore gore, better melee mechanics, less swearing, less overall content atm- animations are a bit wonky in general.
It does feel different for sure.

They do add stuff bi-monthly though, and the increase in gore is great.
I think they need more than 3 extra zeds, though. Especially when 2 of them are reskins of the clot.
yeah, i have some fond memories of playing with my brother, and some other friends on kf1. i could do the same with kf2, but it feels like there's less to be inspired to play with. although i still find both games fun and enjoyable to play.Feels like less than KF1 tbh
KF1 had seasonal events which wasn't just a re-skin; it added new looks, voice lines and generally made the game feel festive, bundle that with the shit load of maps and extra characters and crossovers (Pyro from tf2, Harry Einfield etc) - and the vast amount of weapons; you feel like you get a refined experience for what seems to be just a mod.
KF2 on the other hand is great, but to me still feels like its missing things.

One of the biggest aspects of KF1 is the humor and it has been significantly downplayed in KF2, and in the developers own words it was to "make the game more PG" as I understand it - There was nothing I loved more in KF1 than seeing someone kill a stalker and hearing: "Sorry I don't kiss dead tarts" being blurted out in a hilarious over the top British accent or when the Patriarch wins and calls everyone "Fucking Assholes".I agree wholeheartedly with that babe, KF2 has expanded upon the core mechanics and graphics of the original killing floor. But the originality and cohesion of community was spot-on for the latter. It downsized a lot of what pulled people to play the game beyond just the game itself, which the intrinsic nature of it was shooting varying castes of zombies.
It did the angle that Blackquill mentioned well, and left me salivating for more.
