So Valve put out hundreds if not thousands of stickers in CS:GO, but they didn't allow you to preview them in-game for years. I ended up making videos on youtube showing what they look like; knowing that players are going to be curious about that before buying.

I rack up 450,000 views and decide to continue doing it even after Valve finally make a sticker preview system. Atleast this way you don't have to have the game running to see what they're like if you view my videos, and I've even made some side by side comparisons that you couldn't do in-game.

I spend my Saturday making about 70 short videos of the new stickers. I share them on the CS:GO subreddit and find a reply saying:
"you have way too much time on your hands"

So I replied:
"When I spend a weekend investing my time into a community this is the thanks I get. This is why I don't bother most of the time."

I don't understand how community members are so hostile to others that are making a contribution...

I dunno, it looks to me like the guy wasn't intending to come across how he did.

However, the CS:GO subreddit is notorious for consisting of as many pricks as /r/ShitRedditSays.

Besides, your videos are most likely helping more people than they are causing people to comment 'you have way too much time on your hands', so I'd continue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffe...fucked_up_the_gambit_sticker_bigtime/djybnbv/

I was so tired at the end of it I got pissed at the comment. I woke up afterwards to find nicer messages.

I invest myself into gaming communities to find something meaningful to do when I feel up to it, as I find my chronic fatige so limiting for anything that takes a schedule or much energy. I should have slept instead of keep making stuff really.

Someone on the chronic fatige subreddit made a comment saying that the worst criminals should be given the condition rather than put in jail, and then they won't have the energy to bother with crime. I totally understand what they meant.

I'd love to go out and have a career without burning out after 2 days, then spend a week recovering and listen to people tell me I'm lazy or lack ambition.

This is a rant thread by the way.
