I was looking around youtube and I found a good MMO in pre-alpha which has a western setting, and it's seems to be fresh, new and heading in a good direction.

The only problem I see is that is going to have to compete with red dead redemption 2. But I think it's still going to be a good game, hopefully this inspires them to make it better.

Whats you guys opinion on this?

It looks good, but I can't hold an opinion from a game based on it's looks, especially ever since with how bad Conan Exiles went. There's so many external factors. If this game is functionally successful and Rockstar holds back RDR2 a year for PC like they did with GTAV, then this next MMO might have the chance to be able to blossom and provides a potential threat to RDR2 on PC.

EDIT: And apparently from a review at RockPaperShotgun, a comment posted saying that one of the Devs is from the same monetized, broken, and unfinished games like The War Z and even uses the same engine. Hopefully that doesn't Play a factor..

It is definetlly possible, we might have to see. But this and War Z I think are a bit different, plus It is one Dev and not a lot of them. Still, we must acknowledge those factors. I also find out that there's a closed alpha, and they have a neat refund policy, might be worth a look. And you can try to sign up for the alpha/beta

I like how an individual character's actions can become part of the lore. Neat.

From the WWO forums by the dev:
We'd like to address some concern that has been voiced regarding use of the Nightshade engine. Yes, we are using the Nightshade game engine from Free Reign Entertainment. However, 612 Games is neither a subsidiary of Free Reign, nor financed by Free Reign or Sergey Titov.

We decided from the outset that we did not want to develop a new engine - our strengths lie in game and story design so we wanted to use an existing engine that would be suitable for an online, multiplayer game and allow us to scale over time. We chose Nightshade because it provides the best tools for our team in terms of building/scaling the game, and it has some robust anti-cheat features already embedded that would save us time and expense that we could then allocate towards feature development. We're happy with our choice, and are working to bring you a fun game experience built atop this engine.

So this video just released, which made me think a lot, either way. We need to see what happens once the game is realesed,
