I remember a long time ago on Lemonpunch there was this thread where you'd wish something about the person above your post, whilst the above poster's wish but turning it around to where the wish sucks.
(e.g wisher: i wish i have lots of cash, granter: granted, you have all the money in the world, but because you have all of it the money is worthless now)

Since I'm the OP I'll make a wish about myself.
I wish space travel becomes affordable in my lifetime.

Granted, due to space travel being so affordable, the rush to leave is so immense all the shuttles leave. Earth is left barren of human life, the only person unable to make it before they all leave is you.

I wish nothing could ever go wrong for anyone.

Granted, everyone has had their luck increase by a factor of infinity, making anything going wrong a statistical impossibility. Sadly though we have lost all the money held within Casinos and have drained our nations resources by finding all of the possible sights on the first time, and eventually the United States goes to war as well as the rest of the world, where everyone gets lucky shooting each other out.

Now, I wish we discover how to harness Nuclear Fusion for energy.
