dsfix existed beforehand, and most people dont have any issues with it
and fromsoft left the pc players with dust in their eyes with one of the shittiest ports to come to pc, and then want to sell it for 40 bucks when theres actual remakes that cost the same (crash bandicoot and shadow of the colossus come to mind, hell even cod 4 remastered because it actually looks a million times better than cod 4)

true, but dsfix had it's own problems, mainly bugging out with jumps, sprinting and going through the floor when going down a ladder too quickly due to the fact that going over 30 fps made the game very fucky because yes it was an absolute shitshow of a pc port

it'd also fix the atrocious fps which was even present on the console versions in areas such as Izalith and Blighttown

i think the biggest thing about the remaster is the availability for modern consoles though

yes, i would gladly purchase the remaster if it was at least 50% off for the pc users considering the pc port. on consoles it's way more of a worth a buy
