You can always expect some form of hatred or disagreeing when it comes to giving out your opinion, it's un-preventable. In this case, many people don't think like you and therefore they dislike you and see you as an outsider or someone not as intelligent as themselves.

Why do you people hate me so much. Just why? What have I done to deserve the amount of hatred I'm getting just for putting my ideas and opinions out here? Just now I had an idea that I made because all I wanted to do was help people who were having a hard time, and I just get laughed at, insulted, and dismissed like some insect on a windshield, with people continually targetting me afterwards in some community-wide witchhunt.

I'm actually having some tears pour down my eyes as I write this because I never would have expected you guys to hurt me so much. The people in this community have been the closet thing to a friend that I've ever had in my entire life, so to take so much abuse seriously hurts me so much.

Don't take it personally. Laughs and giggles are there. As @Evil said if you want the respect back all you have to do is make sure you are serious when you have to be serious and meme about when you have to meme about. Shitposting is included in the second point, you may drop a meme in a serious thread every once in a while to lighten up the mood but that's enough.

Aside from that, you shouldn't take it too far, dude. This thread will just make it worse.

Also @Tzula regardless of his political views, I believe everyone has the right to drop their ideas. I can complain and give my opinion about them but I can't tell him "don't say that".

You don't have to apologize, there's nothing to apologize for unless you broke the forum rules or were a cunt to somebody for no reason, which as far as I know, didn't happen. We all get mad and such over time, just take a deep breath, cool off and then return.

And if you think I hate you, again, no idea the standards people have, but nobody here is worth my hate. Hate is no more no less than the complete opposite of love. It requires me to have you in my thoughts, care about what you do and probably actively act against you.

Hell, wouldn't that be a waste of energy? If people want to hate well, I guess, not my thing tbqh.

Don't give up because people tell you to. Try to adapt, understand what you do wrong and learn from it, and understand what others do wrong and learn from it as well. Aside from that, keep moving forwards, and of course stay if you really want to, because nobody can keep you here, nor kick you out of you've not broken any rules.

I'd honestly steer clear of current affairs unless you're the OP simply reporting on current events in a neutral way- that place is nae good.

Jaggles has it right. I've made the mistake of taking shit personally in the past- and I still have to remind myself sometimes. People honestly don't care- but not in a bad way. Everybody has too much going on to give a shite. When you've been cheeky with somebody before I'm sure you felt the same. Not enough time to hate somebody in real life- nevermind through a screen.

I'd suggest looking at how banter goes on. Learn to dish it out yourself, but expect to take it back. That's how you make friends. If they don't like your kind of banter, move on and don't apologise unless it was uncalled for. Self awareness is important, but not too much of it.

There are ways of making it obvious you're joking- and don't take yourself seriously all the time. If you do, nobody else will. It's a balance. If you know how to joke about but be serious when needed, people will value it when you are being serious.

We've all made these mistakes at some point, it's a learning process you'll spend the rest of your life getting right.

Nah I think he honestly has a point.

Benji got piledrived because of the attitudes he's taken. They don't - whether or not he was doing it to be a meme (this thread tells me he wasn't) - mesh well with a lot of people. I mean you tell people they're baby killers and heartless you're gonna get a lot of shit. His ERP thread bashing on gay people only made it worse.

If the views are genuine then he's entitled to them. But he should be careful about how he expresses them on a forum full of people who probably won't agree.
