All that "spying" aka telemetry data that like everything else you use pulls as well can easily be disabled or blocked (shit a lot of this is addressed even during initial install). Support has been getting better, worst case VM it if it is totally necessary or rely on compatibility settings. The design is fucking fine like what's the problem? Because it's a little sleeker and miminalist? The start menu is back and even better than the old one for everyone that circle jerks the start menu. That "universal app system" is what's bringing shit like Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2 to PC and will be a platform for future games that can easily be ported from Xbone to W10 given the nature of their OS. Windows 7 and 8/8.1 are losing support fast and it's starting in one of the most critical areas: hardware. Windows 10 is faster, sleeker, and an objectively better performing OS than Windows 7 and builds upon what was great about Windows 7 and Windows 8 and made it even better..

How much of this shit do I actully need? I don't need fucking calendar, store, mail, people, games, skype... fucking square design. If I wanted big ass squares in my UI I would've used a tablet.
Don't even get me started about the UWP - it's a fucking joke. It's microsoft holding gaming hostage and trying to establish an even more powerful monopoly than they already have. I could write a wall of text about how fucking utterly bad it is, but this man already said everything I have to say in the manner:
Games should be ported to Xbox, not to the PC.
And just because you can disable what is pretty much spying, doesn't mean that hunderes of grammas worldwide don't know their data is being collected, which is more of an ethics dillema
My hatred for idly jerking off to older OS's is well grounded in real world example of why sitting on an old, out of date, and practically unsupported OS can be a very bad thing.
microsoft should make a good OS then. i was quick to jump from win XP to win 7 because it was simply good. microsoft should quit trying to be apple.
