I remember seeing a thread about that, never payed it any mind though.

your arguement is that nukes shouldnt be part of the gameplay

theyre extremely rare and anyone can access them or the benefits you get for launching one??

how are we talking about the philosophical and moral ties to launching nukes in a fallout game

the world and world building that takes place when you play the series is fucking notorious for being wacky and off-the-wall tales - it’s probably the most important selling point of how it’s portrayed - and yet you argue about how the game is “oh my god immoral!”

get over it. i think it’s ambitious that Bethesda put their work into such an ambitious spin different from the rest of the series and for that it deserves commendation. obviously can see how it wouldn’t be everyone’s thing

I never said you can't use nukes in fallout, since when they are used [I.E New Vegas] they have heavy effects on the world. But because 76 is a online game you can't really change much. So the choice of launching nukes doesn't really matter.

Please read what I said above. Also the ending to The Lonesome Road sees this has a pretty moral choice, not only to your character but also the world. Are you actually that willing to use nukes because "Legion/NCR bad XDDD." or actually take a moment and think what you're doing.

I'm not mad at them taking a new spin at the Fallout series, but they fucked up by saying it takes place in the past which somehow looks better than the future, have super mutants running around WAY before they should. Have Brotherhood of steel stuff around WAY before they left Lost Hills. The excuse of it being in a alternate universe still doesn't fix the problem since it out right proves the people writing 76 don't have a clue how the fallout series works.

  1. West Virginia wasn't hit by the bombs
  2. West Virginia Super Mutants were created by a strain of FEV in the water near Huntersville
  3. Brotherhood of steel isn't from Lost Hills, its a branch that was created by Paladin Taggerdy, after speaking to Maxson via Satellite

legitimate answers that don't fuck with the lore at all

fallouts backstory is questionable at best and I think fallout 76 is a very strange hill to die on

What was once a wasteland survival simulator has now become a waifu creator MMO

i dont particularly care about the lore, at least anymore, but to me it just seems v lazy to go

"ohhhuwahah well actually theres brotherhood of steel HERE too"

like it seems to be a p common theme with bethesda fallouts where they cant really make up their own shit so they just take iconic fallout stuff, cram it in and give some half assed excuse about why its there

but idk i stopped caring about fallout a long time ago lmao
