i dont particularly care about the lore, at least anymore, but to me it just seems v lazy to go

"ohhhuwahah well actually theres brotherhood of steel HERE too"

like it seems to be a p common theme with bethesda fallouts where they cant really make up their own shit so they just take iconic fallout stuff, cram it in and give some half assed excuse about why its there

but idk i stopped caring about fallout a long time ago lmao

I fully agree the BoS shouldn't be in the game, neither Super Mutants

I'd much rather see all new factions and all new enemies that can be the general thing you'll fight

Not a big fan of the Scorched, they seem very forced and shit. Would have much preferred Raiders, they were a big staple of the franchise for me. I get that they didn't because 'people may think a player is an NPC and start PVP' but it's pretty evident who a player is and who isn't with the health bars and UI

I hope they add raiders or something in the DLC's, atleast in the new map DLC's and such

I think all games after 1&2 are basically shoehorning in factions we know

I like the addition of new factions, we're on new state, it's nice to see new things. I doubt all of America would be under the same 4 banners

And since it's only been 20 years since the bombs dropped, it would have been interesting to see some form of old world US military forces still trying to remain in control of a large town that aren't BoS related

Plus it would be a good moment to show that being inside the city limits isn't as safe as being outside, with the military and police force not being so nice.

one town i found interesting was Watoga - it was basically a city that was fully automated so it was still functioning 25 years later

another interesting one was Morgantown which was basically turned into a relief center by the Responders

Honestly I'd be fine with Super Mutants and stuff being in the game (credit to them they set them up as being around in some parts of the US a lot earlier than the Master) if they fucking reskinned them and made them look different. But them including shit like the Mutant Hounds makes even less sense than if they'd included Centaurs again given the fact that the Mutant Hounds were specifically experiments by the Institute.

BoS feel forced in but at least the Enclave make sense given their goal. I just wish they weren't all fucking robots.

I sure don't think 76's direction is the best thing for the franchise at all, but the concept is something I've always wanted, and I intend to sink plenty of time into it. Multiplayer Fallout that's actually kind of stable and official. It's all I've wanted for a long time. BETA was fun enough, managed to only get in a few hours over the WHOLE thing though.
