i finally finished my finals and i wanted to ask you lot if you are still interested in the server and if there should be anything that should be changed etc. anything that you want added/removed, or have a far more serious approach to the gamemode if that seems fun for the community

i loved working on the project and i don't want it to sorta fade away so do answer, what made you stray away from it? was it the server's performance, was it the playerbase? was it administration?

i plan on putting it back up after i resolve some issues with the server providers

strayed away cos of exams and you had your exams
could maybe do event style games with zeus instead of big gamemodes, think something like that has been done before (might have been @Powley who did it)

I was kinda caught between two groups. I brought other friends to the server and they started bashing people from Nebulous seeing every mistake you guys made in ARMA as stupid and idiotic. They made their own server and I started playing there. But a few days ago I decided to leave these other guys behind me since they kept on bashing me as well. They were just assholes. All though I wouldn't mind playing again. Antistasi is kind of fucked since it really requires you to use AI well and know how to do everything as the Commander. I like zeus ops better I think or something else then Antistasi which doesn't really require you to use AI much. Stuff like Liberation.

I believe that antistasi is far from perfect when it comes to AI control and medium sized playerbases, i've eyed liberation for quite sometime yet i never seemed to figure out how to get it working, if people are willing to play Liberation, I'll soak in the time to prep the server for liberation


there's a question that i haven't gotten an answer for yet; do you prefer more casual play, or more focused, organized gameplay that's akin to a middle eastern PMC

personally don't think it was fine, it was shitty, we played the server to have fun together as a community not to split off and start grudges or play their own game, it wasn't their server and they acted like cocks anyway, entitled cocks, let's make sure everyone invited actually wants to engage themselves and have fun together this time

I've played (and won) Antistasi with my group of friends, using AI. Most of the stuff you need is a lot of resources, so you can place big amounts of people at key locations, and then AA emplacement guns the AI can use. Americans tend to use air vehicles so they're easy to avoid, for the Russians you need help since the moment you attack one of their airbases you'll get 4 APCs and 4 Tanks coming your way.

We did stuff seriously and worked together, divided to defend and attack, so on. Took us a while but we did it.

However, I'd recommend for Neb something like Domination: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=332088703

It's made by Xeno, the same guy that made Arma 2's Domination. It's a simple gamemode anybody can play, good for servers that are kept online 24/7, and fun to play both tactically and acting like an absolute Rambo. It supports up to 40 people, and you can modify almost every single mission parameter, making it super versatile and adaptable to your needs.

People could join anytime, grab their guns and go pop some enemies, or you all could arrange it to go on a big team and do huge city assaults.

There's also RHS and CUP versions, on most maps (even Takistan which is really good)
