title
and obviously not serious.
i think the UM faction should get an overhaul on activity checking, as well as actually have consistently online players that don't have to be called to flag up in OOC when someone is injured. if you're gonna apply to be a doctor then you should try and stay active and flagged up for a majority of the time that you can.
i think the Zombie faction shouldn't be application-needed, or even if it is then i don't think it should be put behind the premium paywall. a faction that has literally no genuine ties to any other factions, simply being there for the rp, whilst also being restricted to having said rp be restricted to being in P2L in most situations is fairly shit cos a lot of people (myself included originally) pay premium in order to have a go at being a headcrab/zombie. This doesn't mean having no faction lead, it just means that those who pay for the whitelist (and as it states on the store) are given the whitelist after asking an SA for it. being given a general set of rules to abide by seems fair, and going against these rules would result in, firstly, a warn and then secondly a dewhitelist/blacklist.
i think the CWU's changes from having 4 divisions down to 2 make the faction a lot less fun and a lot less viable for new players to RP in. administration and industrial don't really have much fun to them, because one is essentially just "people work" and the other is "city work". at least back when there was 4 divisions people could genuinely have their own 'unique' perks to being in a specific division, with their own quotas and spins on stuff.
i think the USE faction is fairly boring. i don't think i've ever been able to witness any broadcasts, because it feels like it happens that infrequently that it almost never actually happens and is just an excuse for people to get red tier, and to have artificial popularity.
i think the Terminal is underrated and creates many good pieces, though has little actual representation or acknowledgement on the server outside of a whitelist and usually the red tier boost + a pin. I miss @Knight 's amazing pieces as the legendary Powers.
i think the Senator faction has very little overall purpose outside of being the equivalent of 'super loyalist'. the laws and constitutions, whilst obviously taking a lot of effort to make which i highly appreciate and respect, don't hold much IC wise as most of their work is usually forum-based, outside of the occasional event for loyalists or being a high-priority target for rebels. it's like having a character be above the law and have so much protection yet having little actual value.
i think the Rebels having the Railway being a Contract hub is fairly pointless, as the contracts favour those who already have things rather than those who just want to go out there and try something new. the Traders, too, as they work with the Railway essentially kill off any Token or Barter economy as (despite it being a banned suggestion) the Railway still use what is essentially their own currency, rather than the given IC currency. yes, having supplies be used in place of currency is for the most part useful however it is only useful for those who are already things like the Traders and Crafters. normal people who have obtained tokens essentially lose any value they have from those tokens, and it puts me off doing any actual RebelRP.
I'll probably add and change opinions over time.
if you wanna dispute my beliefs and opinions then go ahead, just don't flame and don't be an ass.
