i've never played a metal gear game yet (except mgs integral until i realised i need a disk), have been super interested in it

which is better to start with, mgs1 or mgs3?

I liked 5 since it was the only I played, but I’ve watched the rest I think metal gear 3 was the best story wise

which is better to start with, mgs1 or mgs3?

MGS3 in the HD collection is easier to play because you don't have to play top down (not so great without radar) and MGS1 has more story and sets up the franchise as it proposes the questions that are answered later on (and introduces some phrases which become references that you will understand later)

Personally, I started with MGS3 but it's your choice
