today i decided to play gmod

my plan was halted to me meeting the starting blue loading menu, and stuck on it
the game was responding mind you, just stuck on the main menu loading screen
tried everything, deleting my addons, game, restarting, verifying integrity, backing up files

help :(

go to your garry's mod properties in the steam library, click the updates tab, and then uncheck 'steam cloud synchronization'

verify the cache of other mounted source games

find the drive you got your stuff on, win+r, go to cmd

chkdsk C: /f /r /x

replace C: with whatever other drive you want to check and repair
