like the show but i feel like it foments a lot of anti-technology and anti-science sentiment, perhaps unintentionally. people seem to watch black mirror and get the idea that science is invariably bad and we should never use any kind of advanced tech for any purpose because bro, haven't you seen black mirror?

I think it really shows the good and bad, you have this AMAZING technology that is great, however if it falls on the wrong hand then things like in the show could happen, of course I think most is a bit dramatized but most of the tech is made for good but stupid/evil people use it.
oh yeah i agree, i'm not saying the show is inherently anti-technology. i'm just saying a lot of people interpret it that way.

I think the writing of the show definitely took a hit for this season, I don't know what it is but I'm just getting the same vibe I got from episodes like USS Callistar that struck every chord beautifully.
The cinematography, visuals, music, suspense, and overall themes of of every episode though are still very strong and something to like though in my opinion. I do appreciate that every episode has the production value and effort of a movie because they have to get a whole new cast, location, etc for every single episode. Smithereens is probably my favorite because of the tense moments in it and a very well acted third act

really enjoyed them all tbh, only problem is it cuts off at the end and doesn't let you see what exactly happens, and just shows you the after math (see: the too one, the aunt just goes "fuck it" and then you see ashley at some bar singing) or whatever, and with smithereens it just cuts off once the dude gets shot- and yeah what happens in all of them is obvious, but it's just annoying to not be able to see it and all that after having watched the entire episode, it's like a cliffhanger, but it just shows you the ending and skips how they got there
