Well the paywall isn't that big and ultimately due to updates on graphics and such people already spend 200-300€ from time to time so come on

Have you compared it to most gaming hardware nowadays?

I'm sorry but with graphic cards costing 500€, CPUs for 400€ and RAM bundles for 100€, a piece of equipment that immerses you ingame and has many free to play games is not expensive.

It's pricey, not everyone has 300€, but in comparison to most stuff? No it isn't.

It's fairly big for a lot of the people on this forum tbh

if your pc isn't already vr ready it costs ~£900 for a vr ready pc and headset assuming you don't want a bottom of the barrel experience


Hardly divisive but still, without a big window before launch like they gave us it'd be unlikely to see many people playing at launch due to xmas, new years and the entry price

a $200-$1000 headset is a p gross paywall for the first half-life game in like over 10 years.

i think most people would be happier if it wasn't vr exclusive.

The game is prepared for VR, that's it. I understand what you say but ultimately many projects will be focused on VR, and some others will remain the classic way. This one has extra puzzles and such made specially for a VR experience, that's about it.
