I still have screenshots on my steam that these Adm*ns (who are all bastards, so say we all) can't restrict














This is making me nostalgic so let me share some more memories and facts of old, in no particular order:

- I remember the character database @Jamie set up to track all created characters and some of their stats. I vividly remember that ~1% of all characters created had the name Tyrone.

- Serverguard, a protection against aimbot and wallhacks, which essentially took photos of your screen iirc, and/or let admins see your screen. I remember a screengrab of someone using the Steam Browser to look at plant pornography while on the server.

- I remember The Great Immigration Crisis that occurred on the nebulous server, when someone wrote a random Lore post about a tidal wave or tsunami hitting a city in Vietnam, and then a group of people got the idea to make Vietnamese throwaways (this was on i17) and start gangs and race riots. Some of them kept their throwaways and for a few months there was an undercurrent of Asian hate throughout the server. The peak was about 30 people in the slums, yelling and throwing things at the CPs and someone getting a gun.

- I remember in the earlier, lighter days of LemonPunch, having admins set your model's face to be a horrible ghoulish smile without saying and letting you wander around at will.

- I remember the server-wide music player being used for a) atmospheric soundtrack music like CP Violation or b) Cotton Eyed Joe. There was also another overused overplayed event music piece but I forget its name.

- I remember religiously tagging all map containers with /objphysdesc "BANGO SKANK WUZ HERE" until people started copying it. I think I based it on graffiti from Stephen King's Gunslinger trilogy.

- Seeing admins cheat, abuse their power for items or metagaming purposes or for piss-taking purposes. Threatening people with PKs in Teamspeak over petty bullshit.

- Writing PK appeals and ALWAYS getting them accepted, simply by virtue of arguing every little point and being annoying. I have no regrets.

- mylittlepony.hasbro.com, a short-lived community made by everyone banned by nebulous like roman loaded or whoever those cunts were. Their forums were a weird reskin of this theme, and I am 99% sure it was actually just a front to steal the login details of users to exploit them later. It was only over http not https and gave the sketchiest vibes in the world. A fun place overall.

- Dog pornogrophy logs that floated around for years on pastebin. I think the character was Rebecca Black?

- Joining a random, small-time HL2RP server and seeing someone using my old character's name. Turns out he stole one of my vortigaunt applications for the server he was playing on and I got him banned.

- The various nonces and absolute oddballs that would infest the server and forums. Strange, strange times. I mainly do just remember the weird, interesting people who I never interacted with much but always enjoyed their output.

-- Rapidjuice, a crazed Scotsman who multiple people told me they got scared of when they were alone with him on Teamspeak. Unnerving energy, never dealt with him but his writing was stellar

-- Bot 10, who only created 1 character, Nigel "Asshole" Livingstone, a Willard Industries employee. He was both in character and out of character the biggest cunt in the community. It was respectable because he was so consistently, stupidly mean. I loved him.

-- Gurrazor and his 16k. Specifically, I remember the random yank from fiverr who someone paid to talk about it. Overall he was a lizard wearing the face of a man.

-- AntlionHazzard or whatever his name was. He set up and ran the first CWU Industrial faction and was a religious nut about it. He made the entire faction wear military uniforms and march in sync, and throw up salutes while yelling "PRAISE THE UNIVERSAL UNION". He eventually went instane and got banned, but all of the following CWU iterations copied his setup. Deranged man, great dedication.

-- King, who inspired most of the Administrator + Minister faction for years. He had one major character, Administrator Thorne, and was the only good villain (except for Gr4Ss's loyalist character) I remember. He loved The National in an unhealthy way.

-- BrotherBiscuit, who showed up on the forums and server for like 2 months, caused absolute fucking chaos in the best way possible, and then left. I have never seen someone cause so many arguments and win them all, while still being a newcomer. He was a professional debater.

Apologies on the double post but OH MY GOD I REMEMBER THIS

One of the very first things on neb I remember was looking at a bin in i17 with that on it. I started copying it cos I found it funny, and had entirely forgotten about it up until you mentioned it. Good times
