the full reason is in the original meme thread. when I got demoted, I wasnt really in the right state of mind and people in the convo can probably confirm that. seeing all the support from people I've helped in the past or interacted with really upped my spirits during that time. Life isn't the best right now

The post came literally as we were removing his permissions. Not our fault he told his friends he was being demoted, who then went onto his profile to post about it

And besides, I literally did my best to be fair on DoubleD considering in the ts convo he said we'd intentionally make him out to be a bad guy. Which we did not, the reverse is actually what has happened

And eventually they would have tapered off and it would have died, just like every other bit of drama. But by banning people for it you are reigniting the flames and fanning them because it is just giving people /more/ ammunition. Banning over memes has the reverse effect.

My permissions were removed as soon as I disconnected from temspeak, and the post didn't come for around 10 minute after. By that time, at least 5-6 people posted on my profile

That shows absolutely zero intention to be 'sneaky' about it whatsoever. I stand by my point that I was very clear in the demotion reasons and that claims otherwise are just wrong.

I just hate seeing easily avoidable drama. I hate my close friends being dragged in by proxy and I hate the fact this keeps flaring up. Its Christmas, this shouldn't matter ffs but the past two days have been waking up hoping someone didn't get banned or something didn't flare up again.

Please, just reverse the bans @`impulse and be done with it.

@RabidMaggot93 Don't get me wrong, I used to share the exact same viewpoint as you. However doing so doesn't change anything, the same few people are going to cause the same issues. Discounting today, it's been nothing but drama for the sake of drama. Valid criticisms presented as such is absolutely fine - you can come and speak to one of us directly if you want, this is encouraged, even.

The thing is, nobody decides to do this and resorts to making memes that wildly misrepresents the situation or people's own opinions. It wasn't even me who spotted the meme originally, I just decided to take action because it was (yet again) another one of the same people doing the same thing.

Just out of genuine curiosity, to try and understand the whole thing going on, one of the reasons stated was attitude issues. Was that something like refusal to cooperate with other staff members, or just acting snarky, or what was up.

Headstaff don't exactly show themselves as approachable when 99% of the time they hear of you (headstaff) is either a ban / demotion, or occasionally dev stuff.

Not saying you don't do other stuff, but nobody can see it, so it builds this image up.

I've said multiple times to multiple people that if there's an issue, then they can make a PM or contact me on steam directly with something constructive. That's all I've ever asked for. The bans handed out adhere to forum rules, and demotions the same.
