I'll appreciate any event that lets us explore elements of the setting that aren't tied down by conventional 'grounded' ideas of HL2RP which usually just ends up being "Cops and Rebels go here to shoot stuff."

Half-Life is a Sci-Fi setting with alien dimensions, bending the fabric of space and time and weird esoteric Lovecraft-ish elements and the fact this so often gets buried in the rush to make HL2RP nothing more than grim occupation boogaloo is sad to me. Lets fucking explore these things instead of putting it down as 'cringe'.

Shit, the things you are seeing in the event aren't even actual "ghosts". This isn't an episode of Supernatural lol.

me and @Corey got a little thing going on our traveller characters, was some fun rp from day 1

I played CP.


It was fun throughout. We established ourselves and shot NPCs. Cooperating with Union factions was great. Getting a lay of the land was ok. Just the general feel of the place is a nice change of pace. For a first day, it's not too bad and I don't see how it could've been better in any significant way.

The only thing I wish is that we got to do occasional S2RP with player xenians instead of mindlessly gunning down NPCs the whole time.

I think the ghost shit has come off uninteresting purely because not much has been done with them yet. I'm sure there's plenty of history left unexplored that's being reserved for later days.

Me and two other zombie characters tried to ambush you CPs at the gate while you guys, presumably were on a patrol mission or something alike that, though it did seem quite confusing whatever if it was meant to be a S2K or S2RP scenario.

Bird - You'll be able to have with no app (its not a real char and you cant' do any /me's etc its puseless really)

Antlion if you have zombie whitelist you'll be able to have it - Just writing up the premium update atmo will post sooner or later

whats the goal here? it feels so misdirected, like there's no aim, no guidance, nothing to achieve or gain or fight towards. just an empty wasteland with npc headcrabs, flying bird players that are carrying around baby doll props and respawning antlions that get shot every 15 minutes, rebels spamming the ground with their stunsticks and spamming voice commands. haven't seen a lick of life from the union side, at all. can't speak for loyalist factions, but rebels is pretty dull right about now.

I mean a lot went on last night and people praised it, its just obviously you aren't gonna slam things through the wringer all hours of the day. If people are incapable of doing passive on their own for a bit that says more about the playerbase than anything.

This is meant as more than just a "spice the event up by slapping rebels and union characters together and letting them murder one another for a few days and call it an event".
