my family descends from there and i have met relatives who flew over a few times
my particular branch of the tree moved to America just before the filthy commies took over the country at the downfall of the fascist party in the area.
been to a few Slovenian gatherings with my great uncle who was a reverend
my last name is also Slovenian as fuck and very uncommon

And pretty cool to see you from there, adding to the collection of different nationalities in nebulous

Well Jugoslavia was def not an ideal state to live in compared to modern day Slovenia.

It was better than in modern Slovenia and better than most of EU countries but that was only when Tito was alive, but after his death everything just collapsed.
