I enjoyed the second season, although it suffered a bit from having only nine episodes to conclude the story. I have never played league and probably never will as it's simply not my type of game, but the show was still good enough to stand as its own creative work. I think Arcane is one of many recent shows that has demonstrated the power of animation as a storytelling medium. The animators did a fantastic job with visual storytelling and I think this helped make it work out despite the limited time frames they had to tell the story.

It'd be cool to see more game worlds brought to life in this way, and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

It was insanely good, I just finished it and I'm struggling to comprehend what I've seen. If you haven't seen it, watch it.

WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE GAME I DON'T UNDERSTAND

If the characters that appear dead are dead, what the fuck does that mean for the 'true canon' that Arcane established? What is league, in that respect? Is it just a post death boxing match as it was in the ancient past of league's lore, or are those characters not actually dead?

Moreover, what the fuck does this mean for other characters ala camille, blitz, urgot, renata glasc, etc? Are they erased from canon, or...?

With them teasing Swain, I wonder if whatever show they make next is going to be focused on Noxus and maybe Ionia? Or maybe Demacia? Hell, who knows if they're making another show or a movie, I'm unironically reeling.

an example for this would be aurelion sol being in the summoner's rift so that he can break out from mount targon. i don't really know the implications of the various fates of characters; jayce and viktor didn't really die, heimerdinger got sent to bandle city and jinx is alive, but ambessa is a tough one since there's no direct explanation for her being in the summoner's rift. perhaps she's in the death realm with mordekaiser? maybe they're changing the rift so that the side that wins lives? (in ambessa's case, anyway - i am nearly sure that one of the devs has already spoken about this in a two hour long video that i haven't fully watched yet)

renata glasc might come later after the show ends, considering she was designed after the developers failed to implement silco as a champion - it's not explicitly stated. urgot may yet appear in the noxus show, there were rumors of one of the characters being camille and blitzcrank... i don't know, i'd assume they're going to rewrite his lore or he'll appear / they'll mention him in the next show. twitch and zac didn't appear, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

they've announced that three shows have been in development, with the fourth one in development for a year now. one focuses on demacia, the next on noxus and the third one on ionia, so you got all three right. noxus is definitely going to be a continuation of arcane with mel, whereas i think ionia will include jhin.

Summoners Rift is non-canon to my limited knowledge. So whatever happens there isn't relevant. 'League Of Legends' and the fights haven't been an actual part of lore since the very first iteration of the lore which has been re-conned so many times.

I recommend watching this as it addresses a lot of your points here.

Hextech still exists so Camille could still happen. Renata can easily step in now to fill the power vacuume left by the Chem-Barons being taken down.

It seems like Noxus and likely Ionia are the coming focus. I imagine it'll be set during the invasion of Ionia as that seems the next logical step for this retold canon. Singed making weapons for Noxus, Mel dealing with the three leaders of Noxus. Swain, Darius, and LeBlanc likely.

The way you should view it is 'League Of Legends' isn't the facility for story telling. 'Arcane' is the true story of what happens to these characters.

As for deaths the only champions with a dafely definitive death in Arcane S2 is Ambessa. But she just got added so less important.

Jayce/Viktor get shot off into the past or something to finish their loop. They might be merged but who knows. Heimerdinger disappears so he could easily be shot off to a different dimension again or was pulled back to Bandle. Warwick can easily regenerate now in a properly wolfy form or Singed can pull him out and work on him more.

Jinx is very likely alive as you can see a streak of her Shimmer dash before the explosion and then Cait is looking at the hextower Schematics which shows vents Jinx could of used to escape and the very end is the same blimp Powder said she'd one day ride one in S1E1 along with the end title being her Jinx vision.

They all have outs.

In the end, it's the League of Legends, and Legends Never Die
