Whilst they arn't overly complicated I think a lot of Gorillaz songs have some unappreciated bass lines.

I agree, but what I'm saying is that there is some Gorillaz songs that don't come to mind when you think of a really nice bass line as opposed to songs like Feel Good Inc or Dirty Harry, when in actual fact I think they are on par or better.
